Go Trick or Treating

My husband - a Republican - was running for a political office in our county. And our daughter, five-year-old Lela, had been helping him with his campaign.

But it was Halloween night and she wanted to go trick or treating. So we took her.

When she saw someone else's campaign sign in a neighbor's yard, she stopped abruptly on the street.

"No way! I'm not going trick or treating in that yard," she said. "Them peoples is DEMOCRATS!"
